We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Molecular Pathologist to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in molecular diagnostics, including next-generation sequencing (NGS), polymerase chain reaction (PCR), and other advanced molecular techniques. As a Molecular Pathologist, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and characterizing diseases at the molecular level, contributing to personalized medicine and targeted therapies.
The Molecular Pathologist will work closely with oncologists, geneticists, laboratory technologists, and other healthcare professionals to interpret complex molecular data and provide accurate, timely diagnostic reports. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of molecular testing, participating in research and development of new diagnostic assays, and staying current with advancements in molecular pathology.
This role requires a deep understanding of molecular biology, genetics, and pathology, as well as strong analytical and communication skills. The successful candidate will be board-certified in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology with subspecialty training or certification in Molecular Genetic Pathology.
Key responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting molecular test results, consulting with clinicians on test selection and result interpretation, and contributing to the development of laboratory protocols and quality assurance programs. You will also be expected to participate in academic activities, including teaching and publishing research findings.
